To (park)run or not to (park)run?!Wishing all Horwich RMI Harriers and their families a happy and healthy 2024, the club’s centenary year!👍👏🙏On the subject of Parkrun I was very pleased to do my 50th parkrun a couple of weeks ago at Peel Park The icing on the cake is that I’ve been 1st in my age category in all 50 and even now at age 58 a sub 18mins time again is close. To think that although I’ve been running and racing continuously for 43 years since the age of 15, I only did my first parkrun in June 2022.This was thanks to my Uncle Steve who introduced me to Pennington Flash parkrun I consider them to be super events in themselves and excellent intense workouts as part of a training programme. No matter what time you complete them inOur youngest niece at age 15 completed her first parkrun just over a week ago and our older niece has now done 15 and has got her time down to 24mins 30s 👏👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️As an added bonus, the day after my 50th parkrun I was 1st in M55 age category at the Aintree 10km in 38mins 31s wearing the RMI vest as I have been doing since 1987 Keep on running (I hope!)👍🙏🏃‍♂️ ...
