Junior Induction Tuesday
A great first step into athletics.
Junior Induction Tuesday is designed for children aged 8 and above who are new to athletics or want to try it in a structured, supportive way before committing to full membership.
Sessions run from 6:00pm to 6:45pm at the track at Bolton Arena and cater for all abilities. Whether your child is completely new to sport or already enjoys running, jumping, or throwing, they will be welcomed into a safe, friendly, and well-coached environment where confidence and enjoyment come first.
Places are currently in high demand, so a waiting list is in operation. To add your child to the list, please contact

Junior Member Groups
For children ready to progress and get involved
When your child decides they would like to continue, they can move into our Junior Member Groups. These sessions take place on Monday and Tuesday evenings, usually starting at 6:00pm, again at Bolton Arena.
Training focuses on the core athletics skills of running, throwing, and jumping, helping young athletes develop coordination, fitness, and technique at an appropriate pace. Some groups also offer additional opportunities such as hill training or extra track sessions on other evenings for those who want to do more.
Junior Disciplines
We encourage young athletes to explore different disciplines so they can discover what they enjoy most. Club activities include:
- Track and Field
- Cross Country Running
- Fell Running
- Sportshall Athletics (indoor adapted track and field)
- Team Road Relays
This variety helps children build well-rounded skills, stay motivated, and enjoy being part of a club community, whether they prefer individual events or team competition.
