Whernside Fell Race: Saturday 27th September 12miles/2972′

Three Horwich members ventured to Dent to participate in Saturday’s Whernside race. This popular fell face has returned to the calendar after a few years absence and saw 180 runners participate. This runable race was made all the better by being graced with clear skies and sunshine. After a short section on the road, the route gradually wound its way up Whernside on a well defined path. After the descent of Whernside, another path took the runners up Great Coum, followed by a fantastic and fast descent into the finish. A very enjoyable race.
