On a very warm evening a large field ran this popular race at Hawkshaw Rob Jackson finished in third behind Tim Ellis of Egerton and took the first Veteran prize, Albert Sunter had a good race in 20th with Mick Kay just behind in 28th, Tony Hesketh ran well for first over sixty in 35th, Tony Varley was third over sixty and Geraldine Walkington was second in her category in 88th finally Frank Wood was 155th and fourth over 65.
