Coppice Fell Race 5 miles 600 ft

This race is unique as it is in the center of Accrington a three lap race with a steep climb on each lap – the juniors did the climb twice. For the juniors we only had Abigail Cox running and she finished a fine second as she had done the previous week at Stanhill Fell Race.

1) G Toogoose Blackburn H 10.10
2) A Cox Horwich 10.16

The senior race was won by Tim Ellis in 33.23 despite a marshall sending the leaders off course early on. First for Horwich was Tony Hesketh in 17th 40.18 winning the over sixty category and Paul Murray was first over 65 in 54th position in 48.52.
