Paulo Campos reports….clear blue skies and sunshine greeted all the runners and one horwich harrier (moi!) for this year’s race. The route began at wasdale head with a flatish stretch before eventually leading to a steep climb up lingmell and a short traverse to the summit and the turnaround! An initial cautious descent off the top was followed by a quick run all the way back down to wasdale head. Looking back at previous results, there never seems to be a big turnout for what is a cracking race, just as well perhaps as Wasdale already sees far to many visitors already. As a first fell race I was happy with my result, however not so happy with two mammoth great blisters under both heels (new shoes!).
