Horwich Junior Section Shortlisted.

Tremendous news for the Junior Section and all the coaches and volunteers who have helped to make it such a success. It would appear that our nomination to attend the National Awards was at the bequest of the North West Region who considered us to be the best candidate.

The 2009 England Athletics National Awards programme, will see volunteers from across the country recognized for their contributions in supporting the development of the sport. There will be twelve categories of award, these will recognise the work of clubs, volunteers, officials and coaches, as well as the areas of partnership and disability athletics. They will reward contributions and commitment to our sport over the past 12-month period, with a more limited number of lifetime service awards.
