3000m PB for Gary.
A high quality field contested the 3000m race as this popular track PB venue.
Gary Priestley went with the intention of a PB and was not disappointed when clocking 9.05.68, in fact his early pace had him on track for sub 9, but he faded just a little over the last couple of laps, but was very happy with his new time. Gary finished 11th from a field of 24.
The race was won by Gareth Raven in 8.23.06 (0/35 vet), proving that running the mountains -which Gareth did for GB in the European Mountain Championship in Austria just nine days before – did nothing to slow up his pace at the track.
