Mid Lancs – Hyndburn

The mud today stuck to shoes like concrete making your legs heavier & heavier to lift. Nonetheless this didn’t stop Jan Rashleigh from having a good strong run to finish 8th overall. The rest of the ladies team was made up by Suzanne Budgett followed by first timer Josie Greenhalgh who had a brill run over her first xc in many years. Despite a fall near the start & jarring her back, Christa Whamough showed grit determination & had a fantastic run over a tough, heavy course. The ladies finished 3rd team & 1st vets team. The more ladies that turn out, the more achievements we can make in the various team categories, no matter what pace you run at. It’s turning out in numbers that counts.
