Birchwood 10k Sun 23rd Aug.

Super runs by the Horwich squad saw Neil Pendlebury in first with a time of 33.14 placing 11th, Colin Rigby (17th) was very pleased with his time of 33.29 being his fastest for a couple of years – even if he did narrowly miss out on first vet. Richard Howarth is coming along very nicely at the moment equalling his PB with 34.22 in 24th. In an unaccustomed fourth team place was Gareth Booth (35.33) who I suppose after two weeks living it up on holiday was just pleased to be back racing. Karl Ward was 68th in 37.34 and Susan Flatters (46.43) in 371st. Which just left new member Keith Peacock running 47.30 for 385th.
It was an extra large field of nearly 900 runners.
