Jubilee Race No2. – Wed 17th June.

An impressive run by Gary Priestley saw him duck under 26 minutes for the first time clipping 31 seconds from his course PB, which earned him second place behind Mike Aspinall of Lancaster & Morecombe – not many Harriers have run that fast on this course, so well done Gary. Gareth Booth ran 20 seconds faster than last month but had to settle for 5th place on this occasion. Colin Rigby enjoyed his racing and pushed Gareth into a sprint finish to finish just 5 seconds behind him for 6th place. Alastair Murray although running a course PB felt a little below par for his 10th place, even so he made up the winning team by a large margin from Liverpool Harriers.

Colin Rigby collected the first 0/40 prize , and although we had twenty two Harriers running the other vets prizes eluded us on the night. The ladies again fielded a full team finishing third with Christine Boardman to the fore in 15th and Michele Sunter and daughter Abigail making up the team, keep it going ladies, it can be a long week if you are doing the tour.
