Horwich Cross Country Juniors Keep on Winning in the SELCC
More Juniors turned out at Heaton Park this weekend for more wins a series titles.
In the U11 Boys race held at Heaton Park in Manchester 3 athletes managed a good second place. Nathan Lancaster was first home in 3rd place only 12 secs behind the winner. Lucas Milliken having his strongest run in the Season. 3rd counter was Joshua Houghton again is best race to date in 17th place. This helped the boys achieve 2nd on the day.
The U11 Girls went one better and managed 3rd place with some outstanding team play. Ella Pendlebury lead once again and kept there for yet another win under her belt. Next for the team Freya Whittle in 4th with Lydia Johnson not too far behind in 8th. This puts the girls in a strong position for the series with the last race to take place at Boggart Hole on the 28th Feb.
So it was oft to the U13 boys to see what they could achieve. Lewis Wilkes having yet another strong run managed 1st place leading from the offset. The team won with thanks to Luke Brindle & Thomas Massey in 4th & 5th the team won with some ease. Kieran Kinealy also improving is running managed 13 with Robert Seddon managing 17th a great debut for Robert in this series.
