A good turnout from the Harriers for the first of the Mid Lancs series, which seems to go from strength to strength each year, not only does it get quality but there was 329 runners just in the mens race alone.
Anyway what an amazing run from Gary, 1st overall , what a start to the season, he is currently training very hard and it is beginning to pay off with some high quality results. Long may it continue and lets hope we can support him as well if not better than we did at Burnley. In this league it is 6 to count in the team so the next 5 did really well with only 2 minutes separating them, it brought us into 4th team place not many points behind 3rd, so that should be our next target at Liverpool on the 26th November.
Numbers for the ladies were not so good but our loan representative Suzanne Budgett gave a good account finishing 15th overall and 3rd in category.
I would like to mention everybody who ran Saturday but I haven’t enough space so I will just say a big thanks to everybody who ran and a special thanks to Pete Ramsdale who organised the numbers, the tent and some welcome goodies on the day – thanks Pete.
The next race at Sefton Park, Liverpool has different start times to the other races they are:
Senior Women – 1.20pm – Senior Men – 2.00pm
