Bill Smith

It is with sadness that I have to report that Bill Smith of Clayton Harriers and author of Stud Marks on the Summit was found dead in the Trough of Bowland after being missing for three weeks. 75 year old Bill was a popular figure at fell races, marshalling and taking photos, and always had a word of encouragement for everyone. His funeral will take place on Friday 14th October at The Good Shepherd Church, Croxteth at 2.45 pm. (Lower House Lane / Carr Lane East, Liverpool, Merseyside, L11 4UJ) and then Anfield Crematorium at 4 pm. (238 Priory Road, Liverpool, L4 2SL).
