Ashurst Beacon Fell Race – Saturday 15th Jan
A great turnout for Horwich of about 15 Club members of which five were women – fantastic! Our first male counter was Dave Jackson finishing in 8th overall closely followed by Stuart Edmondson & Simon Parkinson, all three bunching pretty closely. A mixed succession of Horwichers followed on in what was very muddy conditions over this interesting route. Good chats & banter ensued in the pub afterwards over coffees & beer whilst waiting for the presentation & final results. Mary White collected first V60 prize & Suzanne Budgett 2nd Lady. A race worthy of a diary entry for next year.
