Last week (17th and 18th Sept) Angela Allen and Gordon Stone competed in the CSSC Games, representing HASSRA at Loughborough University. Angela performed brilliantly for an outright win in the Women’s 3000 metres in a time of 11:37.0 and was runner up and first W40 in the 1500 metres in a time of 5:31.1. Gordon followed up a day and a half in the table tennis competition by competing in the 10k road race in which he finished 25th of 37 finishers in 49:30 on a relatively hilly course in suddenly quite hot conditions on the Friday afternoon. The race was won in 33:43.
