Fielden Cup Sat 27th Dec.

A cold and frosty but beautiful morning greeted this years runners in this 2.2 mile handicap race for the oldest trophy in the clubs history. 15 runners ran this year’s race and first Horwich runner to finish and claim the Fielden Cup after 20 years of trying was Gordon Stone in a time of 15.28. One of our up and coming young stars of the future Jamie Crompton posted the fastest time of the day with 10.51.
