A record turnout for this years Shepherds Skyline Fell Race with 363 runners finishing the main race and 92 juniors in the various U8-U16 races. The damp ground and steady cold breeze made the going a little slow and one runner was taken to hospital after injuring himself coming down off Stoodley Pike.

Only two Horwich runners attended this race, Paul Boardman (56:35) came home in 96th place and Mark Sammon (1:12:03) finised in 310th.
