Chorley Harriers 4 Mile Trail Race – Wed 3rd June.
A good turn out of nineteen Harriers for this the second race in the series. Good packing at the front meant another men’s team victory, with a super run from Alastair Murray (24.57) in 4th who was well in contention at the front. Steve Nolan (25.32) – ever present in these local races – can always be relied on to be there or there abouts, finishing a fine 7th and first 0/45. Glyn Kay (26.21) is rounding into some good form of late finishing well in 12th and third counter for us, and a much better run from Karl Ward (26.33) in 15th clinched the team award. Pete Bland – after some initial hiccup in the results – was first 0/60 – much to his delight.
In the ladies race Christine Boardman (32.06) was our first counter, Gill Burnell (38.28) picked up her customary 0/55 prize, with young Abigail Sunter (41.36) collecting the first lady junior.
