Calderdale Way Relay

The Calderdale Way Relay on Sunday 14th December is fast approaching.

We have entered 3 teams, so need a total of 36 runners to fill the available places. If you would like to take part, please contact your respective team captain to confirm your availability.

The general format is unchanged, the relay consists of the usual 6 legs run in pairs, over a circular course, with the end of leg 6 finishing where leg 1 started. Each leg starts and finishes in a different location, so competitors must work together to make transport arrangements. The route is not flagged, so a prior recce is a must, but all competitors will be issued with a map of their leg to help with this.

This start and finish location is now at West Vale, about a mile away from the Rugby Club at Copley which has been recently used. Race Headquarters is now away from the relay route, at Mytholmroyd Community Centre. Lying in the centre of the relay route, this is a more accessible location relative to most of the relay legs.
