Langdale Full/Half Marathon
Langdale Half and Full Marathon 2011

Set in the heart of the lakes just north of Windermere the Langdale races are always picturesque, scenic and very hilly; and this year nearly four hundred runners turned up in fairly damp conditions to do either the single lap half or two laps for the full marathon.
257 took part in the half marathon, with Charlie Pass of Wesham Road Runners winning in a time of 1:19. Paul Muller finished 3rd overall with a time of 1:23:52, followed by Paul Boardman in 27th and Ed Swift finishing in 2:11:27, taking first V65 in his first outing as an OAP.
132 took part in the full marathon, with Steven Prentice of North East Marathon Club winning in a time of 3:04. Carl Balshaw completed the full marathon in a time of 4:12.
