Two Lads

Once again fine conditions for the Two Lads Fell Race with only a light shower before the start.
Also an excellent result for Horwich with Gary Priestley taking 1st place overall in 31:06 and pushing record holder Robert Hope into 2nd place 31:16, 3rd place went to Danny Hope 31:38 with 1st V40 and former Harrier Darren Kay taking 4th place and making Pudsey & Bramley recipients for the team prize.

In the Ladies race Lindsey Brindle took 1st place for Horwich in a time of 38:12, with Lynne Clough LV40 39:21 (Chorley Harriers & Tri) taking 2nd place. Another notable 1st was Tony Hesketh who took 1st V60 41:30.

Horwich overall had an excellent turnout for this event;

Finally I would like to say a big thanks to the marshals/helpers who generously give their time, to Walsh Sports for their continued support, Christine at the Bridge Inn for allowing us to use their facilities, Bolton Mountain Rescue whose help was required this year in evacuating a competitor with a suspected broken leg.
