Ladies Report – 20.11.10

True to its reputation, the venue at Marl Pits did not disappoint. It was full of the expected shin deep mud with many a folk taking a slip dip in it. The ladies turned out a trio making up a team consisting of April Stevenson, Michelle Devine & myself. Although her first xc in two years April showed her talent & worked her way through the mud & field finishing strongly passing a few more in the process, also elevating the team position. A mad dash for the start really threw Michelle in at the deep end. Despite carrying an ear infection, Michelle ran her socks off and she too finished very strongly after coping with what really is by comparison a challenging cross country course. Well done to the girls for turning out and making up our first team of the season. As of submitting this report, results were not published.

N.B. We still need more ladies turning out if we are going to elevate ourselves up the team position. I know there are more of you out there as twelve of you are in the team for the Calderdale Way relay! Next xc is Mid Lancs league, Sefton Park, 27th November.
