Barrow XC
30th October 2010.
Six senior men made the trip to Barrow for the first in the mid lancs cross country series. A wet and muddy course greeted the runners.
Alastair Murray was first home in 12th pulling ahead of Gareth Booth in the last few hundred metres. Following Gareth was Simon Parkinson, Tim Roe, Andy Townsend and new member Tony McKenna. Well done to everyone and a huge thanks for making the effort to travel. The team were rewarded with a 6th place and most importantly they started the season with a division 2 win. Also, thanks to Chorley harriers for letting our runners use their tent.
Next race in the series is at Witton park in Blackburn on the 13th November. We need as many runners out as possible to gain promotion to division 1 for next year.
Junior report to follow.
