Jubilee : Race 3
Wednesday 21st July 2010
There was a gap in the weather, and the last race of this years three race series was run in near perfect conditions. It was also a counter in the Central Lancs Grand Prix, so there were a good number of runners from local clubs.
It was a fast race up front with Ben Fish from Blackburn, and Matt Barnes from Altrincham clear of the field from early in the race, with Ben winning in a fantastic 24:27. First home for Horwich and continue his excellent form was Richard Howarth in 3rd with a time of 26:27. This solid performance secured Richard first place in this years series. Completing the winning mens team were Steve Nolan in 10th, Gareth Booth in 13th and Andy Townsend in 23rd. Pete Bland was first V60.

Don’t forget there is no Jubilee next month. Instead the Fielden Cup will be run on the third Wednesday of August – details here.
