Llanbedr To Blaenafon. AL. 15m/4500′. – Saturday 10th April 2010.
Whilst visiting family in South Wales this weekend I took in this classic point to point race between Llanbedr and Blaenafon, by way of the peaks of Crug Mawr, Sugar Loaf and Blorenge.
The warm and sunny conditions made it hard work, but i managed to stay in contention for the lead until half way up the notorious climb of Blorenge, which reduced me to scrambling on all fours, and allowed the eventually winner to get away.
I finished 2nd in a time of 2:14:48.
