British Selection Again For Katie Ingram
European Mountain Running Championship Trial Snowdon 14th June
This year the European Championships are to be held in Telfes, Austria on 12th July, and the trial ‘Uphill Only’ was run up the main tourist path from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon. Katie, still suffering from a head cold, started the race relatively steady and was in 5th place as they cleared the tarmac section of the climb, but steadily lifted her pace to finish a brilliant second at the finish. The day was warm and sunny with literally hundreds of walkers to navigate past as they too climbed to the summit in aid of charity. But Katie’s experience on this course paid dividends as she timed her run to perfection to gain automatic selection. Third place was Rebecca Robinson of Kendal and fourth Clare McKittrick of Charnwood.
