England Vest for Katie.

Katie Ingram continues her international duties this time winning an England vest to compete in the World Trophy Mountain race in Switzerland on the 14th Sept at the spa resort of Crans Montana. All the leading runners were assembled for the trial which constituted an uphill only race from the town centre of Llanberis to the top of Snowdon, a climb of 3300 ft over 5 miles. This was completed in 49.29 which gave her fifth place in the race but more importantly fourth counter for the trial which meant selection for the team. Katie now has three weeks of hard training to further prepare for this world class race.

In the men’s race James Kevan ran well for 20th place – against the best senior opposition in the country. James was trying for a place in the U/23 development team that will selected to run in Slovakia later in the year, but just missed out this year finishing fifth England U/23.
